knowledge is power

Recommended reading material

These are only a few books to get you started on the journey of thinking differently about the world.  While we recommend these books, we do not necessarily agree with everything stated by the authors.  As with all things in life, use your own judgment and discernment to take the parts you want to integrate into your belief system and discard the rest.

Trigger warning:  Some of these books contain stories and content that can be disturbing.

Read with caution.  Always take care of your own mental health.

consuming online and print media

There are many organizations that claim to be sharing news.  Some of it is left-leaning, some right-leaning, some centrist and everything in between.

Additionally, not all media can be trusted to provide reliable and accurate information.

A commonly used tool for deciphering which content you can trust is the

Interactive Media Bias Chart.

The above screenshot from the website shows you how to use the chart.

From left to right, this indicates the particular media's political bias.  In other words, the further left the image is placed, the more liberal the bias.  The further right the image is placed, the more conservative the bias.

From top to bottom, this indicates how reliable and trustworthy the news they report actually is.  In other words, the closer to the top of the chart the image is placed, the more reliable the content is.  The closer to the bottom of the chart the image is placed, the less reliable the content is.
